Looking for a place to play Mah Jongg and people to play with? Our Open Tables sessions provide dedicated table space and a welcoming environment for players who want practice, repetition, and community. Open Tables is perfect for those who already know the basics of mahjong and want to play without hosting or buying supplies.
Length: 2 hours
Format: Open play (no instruction)
Location: MJM studio, 5 Plant Avenue, Webster Groves, MO 63119
Fee: $5 per person (space + use of tile sets)
Maximum participants: 12
This session is designed for players who already know how to play American Mah Jongg and want uninterrupted time to play full games. There is no instruction during Open Play, but tables are available with tile sets, dice, racks, and mats, so you can jump right in (you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer).
Open Play is all about practice. The more you play, the more comfortable the game becomes.

Logistics
Our studio is located on the second floor and is accessed by a flight of stairs. Unfortunately, the building does not have an elevator.
If stairs are a concern for you, please reach out before booking. We’re always happy to help you determine whether a class is a good fit or discuss alternative options.

A current National Mah Jongg League card is required (not included). Bring your own card or purchase one from us for $16.

The $5 Open Play fee covers the space and use of tile sets and applies whether you use ours or bring your own.

Feel free to bring non-messy beverages and snacks; we have basic snacks and water available.
