Founded by two players with combined 45 years of experience educating and bringing communities together, our mission is to share the cognitive and social benefits of Mah Jongg across generations through fun, inclusive lessons that connect mind and heart.

Meet the Owners
Mah Jongg Minds was founded by Julie Rami and Amy Steffen, two St. Louis professionals who share a passion for lifelong learning and meaningful connection. When they started playing Mah Jongg, they quickly noticed it kept their brains engaged and active while also connecting with both new and old friends. Julie leads curriculum design and instruction, bringing creativity and depth to every lesson. Amy guides strategy, marketing and business operations, ensuring the program reaches professionals, families, friend groups, and community partners who share our mission to make learning both fun and impactful. Amy has recently achieved Oh My Mahjong certification; Julie is working towards another certification, so stay tuned to hear all about that!
